Christine & Kris’ wedding was the first we’ve shot at the Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla and I have to say that it made for an incredibly interesting setting. I would highly recommend it to any of our clients as a potential venue as it’s extremely accommodating for all the days events. They have a huge room for the bride to prepare in, a great ceremony site terrace overlooking the ocean, and the master gallery entrance of the museum is used for the reception space. It’s also perfect for photos as you can shoot in and around certain areas of the museum and the beach is just a few steps away as well. The foods featured were hands down, the best we’ve ever tasted at any wedding. There were several different stations with extremely creative and flavor-laden types of food. Nice job on the food you guys, wow! Christine and Kris were so great to work with as they loved running with any idea we had and took direction incredibly well. And although the sun didn’t shine as planned it made for a pleasant temperature and soft, even lighting for all the outdoor shots we got.
You’ll see a shot below where Kris and his groomsmen climb the rock wall directly across the street from the museum. This caught us totally off guard but you just gotta love having the chance to get a shot of something special to the groom as all these guys are close friends and climb the wall often.
